Best Free Site: Fox Sports
Fox gives the most customization of the free sites. You can choose how many players at each position you allow, what the scoring system is, right down to fractions of points, if you really wanted to be that meticulous. They also have a really good draft room that includes features that pick immediately for people who are on autodraft or have not manually selected for two rounds. You really appreciate that after sitting for hours in front of half-full draft boards. But, you don't really have to worry about that, though, because Fox Sports seems to have the best owners in the public leagues. I have used it for the past two years, and both times there were only a few owners who quit halfway through the year.
Best Pay Site: Fanball
Only $70 (less than $10 per owner), compared to CBS Sportsline at $150, Fanball actually offers more features. Their live scoring is updated in real time, continuously. Their cell phone alerts and lineup management, etc, are free when other companies make you pay for the commish services and cell phone services. And they already offer better analysis than most sites.
